There is no winter or summer but most regions have a rainy season from May to November and a dry season from December to April. Temperatures average in the 80s on both coasts year round.

Costa Rica is a stable democratic republic and has the highest standard of living in Central America. “Costa Rica” is known as “the Switzerland of Central America” and truly is the “rich coast”.

Citizens of the US, Canada and Panama may enter Costa Rica with a tourist card (provided on all arriving airplanes) and one other piece of identification (passport, driver’s license or birth certificate). Travelers should consult their local consulate for any updated information.
